Riva Iride is the most expressive version of the Norton automatic diver, in a limited edition of 100 numbered pieces. On the same 40.5 mm steel case with fully brushed black PVD coating, the black sunburst dial carries applied indices, each a different colour: light breaking apart, as it does underwater when a ray passes through the depths.

Water resistant to 200 metres (20 ATM), Riva Iride features a unidirectional 120-click rotating bezel with a colour-matched steel insert, screw-down crown and caseback to ensure sealing and safety while diving. Inside works the Miyota 8215 automatic movement, a Japanese calibre valued for its robustness and longevity, visible through the exhibition caseback with its customised Norton rotor.

The effect is alive but never loud: against a deep black background, the twelve colours stay details of precision, not decoration. Luminescent indices and hands keep the read clean in any condition, while the magnifying lens over the date and the folding clasp with safety complete a diver made in just 100 numbered pieces.

The heart of Riva

At the heart of Riva Iride works a Japanese automatic movement, known for reliability and longevity. It winds with the natural motion of the wrist, without a battery, keeping the tradition of mechanical watchmaking alive. Through the exhibition caseback you watch it run with every gesture, with the customised Norton rotor: not a hidden engine, but part of what makes Riva a real watch.

The bezel: the diver's instrument

Riva Iride's rotating bezel isn't a decorative detail: it's the tool a diver uses to measure elapsed time underwater. It turns 120 clicks in one direction only, for safety: if knocked, it can only shorten the time you read, never lengthen it. The insert is steel, colour-matched to the case and the rest of the watch, for a coherent whole from case to wrist. Out of the water, it stays the most elegant timer on your wrist.

Black bracelet: the base that brings out the colour

The case and bracelet of Riva Iride are the same black-coated steel, with the same fully brushed finish: a continuous, coherent whole, uniform on the wrist and stable over time. The folding clasp with safety catch keeps the bracelet secure even in water, and its solid construction makes it ready for everyday use. A dark, uniform base, built to bring out the colours of the dial.

Made for water, legible in the dark

Made for water, Riva Iride stays legible when the light fades. The applied indices and hands are treated with luminescent material: they absorb light during the day and release it when it's gone, so the time reads at a glance while diving, at dusk, or simply in the dark. With 200 metres of water resistance, it's a diver made to be genuinely used, not just worn.

Coloured indices: character on a black background

The black dial of Riva Iride is what makes the model unique. It carries twelve applied coloured indices: the four at the top, from 12 to 4, are red, while the others each bear a different shade. A measured accent of colour that livens up the dark background without weighing it down, giving a diver character without giving up legibility. It's the detail that sets Iride apart from the other Riva watches at a glance.
