Saphirus Miraggio is a one-of-a-kind piece: a single example, impossible to repeat. The case, caseback and crystal are made entirely of lab-grown sapphire, a transparent, extremely hard material that turns the watch into a 48 mm block of light. Inside, the multi-layered dial is hand-painted with vertical multicoloured bands, drawn freehand like a mirage of colour shimmering beneath the surface.

The Swiss automatic movement stays visible from every side through the sapphire: not a caseback that opens onto a movement, but a whole watch that lets the light pass through it. Luminescent accents on the dial bring the scene to life when darkness falls.

Completing the piece are two genuine leather straps Made in Italy and a wood-and-leather case. An object that isn't one model in a series, but a single example in the world.

Sapphire and hand-painting: one of a kind in the world

The case, caseback and crystal of Saphirus Miraggio are made entirely of lab-grown sapphire: an extremely hard material, second only to diamond, almost impossible to work in this form. The result is a transparent watch that looks carved from light.

On this base, the multi-layered dial is hand-painted with vertical multicoloured bands, drawn freehand: no example can replicate the same pattern identically. This is why Miraggio isn't a mass-produced model, but a one-of-a-kind piece, the only one in the world. Whoever wears it owns something that exists on no other wrist.

The Swiss heart, on show from every side

Inside Saphirus Miraggio works a Swiss automatic skeleton movement, a Sellita SW300-1 whose parts are openworked to reveal how it runs. In an ordinary watch the movement is glimpsed through the caseback; here, with case, caseback and crystal all in transparent sapphire, you watch it from every side. Light passes through the entire watch and reveals its mechanics in motion, wound by the wrist, without a battery.
